5 steps for data recovery from crashed external hard drive

External hard drives which run off USB can help us a lot with its greater storage capacity and portability. Most of us store valuable data in our external hard disc and one day we will be shocked to see the drive not being detected by the computer! But there may be some sort of jerking produced by the disc. But the good news is that we can recover data from such kind of damaged external hard discs in just 5 steps.

Step 1:

Unplug the damaged external hard drive from which you need to recover files.

Step 2:

The only tool that is needed is just a screw driver. By using the screw driver remove the cover of the external hard drive from which you need to recover data.

Step 3:

The operating system will automatically detect the connected external hard drive automatically. If it is not detected automatically, get into the BIOS and make necessary changes.

Once the hard drive is detected, you can copy the data to your system’s hard drive. It is better to copy the data to a DVD to prevent future disasters.
